Jan's grandmother, (Eaton), warns the intruders to stay away as a previous expedition have been turned into zombies to guard the treasure.
A modest addition to the walking dead sub-genre of the time. The underwater shots were filmed through an aquarium.

ZOMBIES OF THE STRATOSPHERE (1952/Republic) BW. Serial. 12 episodes. US.
Aka: SATAN'S SATELLITES.

Two zombies persuade an evil scientist to help them construct a massive bomb that will throw the Earth out of its orbit. The Interplanetary patrol intercept two rockets bound for earth and discover they contain supernatural beings.
A cheap, but lively science fiction serial utilising footage from King of the Rocketmen and The Mysterious Doctor Satan. A 70 minute edited feature version was released in 1958 as SATAN'S SATELLITES.
Leonard Nimoy, who later found fame in "Star Trek", appears here as a benevolent Martian who helps to save the earth from destruction.

ZONTAR, THE THING FROM VENUS (1966/Azalea) 80mins. US.
Credits: Dir. & Prod: Larry Buchanan; A.Prod: Edwin Tobolowsky; Sc: Larry Buchanan & Hillman Taylor; Ph: Robert B. Alcott; Art: Robert Dracup.
Cast: John Agar, Susan Bjurman, Anthony Houston, Neil Fletcher, Patricia de Laney, Andrew Traister, Warren Hammack, Jonathan Ledford, Colleen Carr, George Edglly, Jeff Alexander, Carol Gilley, Bill Thurman, Bertha Holmes.
An alien creature named Zontar dominates the mind of a scientist who helps the alien send bat-like creatures to implant brain control devices on key members of society so that Zontar can control the world. Eventually the alien's ray gun is discovered enabling the authorities to destroy the invader.
An inept film shot on the cheap in Texas that borrows heavily from It Conquered the World, and turns to negative whenever a ray gun blasts at the alien's victims.

ZOTZ! (1962/Columbia/Castle) 87mins. BW. US.

An archaeology professor, (Poston), finds an old coin that enables him to kill people by pointing the coin at them and saying "zotz", but when he just wants to slow them down he just utters the magic word. Some mobsters try to get the coin from the professor.
A ridiculous comedy.
In true Castle style every theatre patron received an imitation coin.
