HENRIK GALEEN
Born in Denmark in 1882 (other sources claim Belgium, Czechoslovakia & the Netherlands).
Began his career as a journalist, and then as an actor. In 1906, he became an assistant to theatre producer Max Reinhardt at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin performing on stage in Switzerland, England and France from 1910. 1914 marked his first film as a writer and co-director with DER GOLEM. He emigrated to America in 1933, and then disappeared from view. Died in 1949.

Dwarf actor whose career began in earnest under the director of Rex Ingram. His most notable screen appearance is as Cojo, Lon Chaney's confidante in The Unknown.

Born Pauline Marion Goddard Levee in Whitestone Landing, New York 3rd June 1911. Became a model at age 14, and made her stage debut in Ziegfeld's "No Fooling". In 1929, she entered into a three year contract with both Hal Roach and Goldwyn. Married Elgar James in 1927 (divorced 1929), Charlie Chaplin in 1936 (divorced 1941), Burgess Meredith in 1944 (divorced 1949), and lastly Erich Maria Remarque in 1958 (widowed 1970). Died 23rd April 1990.

Anton Grot

ANTON GROT
Art Director. Born Antocz Franziszek Groszewski in Kelbasin, Poland on January 18th. 1884. Died in Stanton, Californiaon the 21st. March 1974.
Studied art in Kracow and Konigsberg. Emigrated to America in 1909. Began his career during 1913 as a set designer for the Lubin Picture Company based in Philadelphia. In 1917 he worked as a designer for Alice-Guy Blache, then with Pathe for three years and continuing with the Fairbanks-Pickford unit at United Artists in Hollywood. From 1922 to 1927 Anton worked for Cecil B. DeMille and then remained at Warner Brothers until his retirement in 1948. Thereafter he indulged his joy of painting.
Anton received a special Academy Award in 1940.

ANNE GWYNNE
Born Marguerite Gwynne Trice in Waco, Texas on 10th. December 1918.
After working as a swimsuit model, she found herself cast in various West Coast theatre productions. During June of 1939, Anne was signed to a contract by Universal and made her film debut in CHARLIE McCARTHY, DETECTIVE. In 1945 Anne married a theatrical attorney, her bridesmaid was none other than fellow "scream queen" Evelyn Ankers. Anne was widowed in 1965 and drifted away from her acting career to enter secretarial work. Thereafter she remained single and lived in the San Fernando Valley.
