Born in Ohio during 1919, Jane moved to California when she was twenty and was awarded a scholarship at MGM where she met German emigre Max Reinhardt. She performed in many plays and then signed to Warner Bros. as a bit player. After several appearances she was contracted to RKO where producer Val Lewton cast her in a role for THE CAT PEOPLE. Jane is best remembered for her scene in the notorious "pool sequence", one of the horror film's most memorable moments.
Jane retired from the industry in 1948, but later appeared in a Spanish film. She also worked radio, theatre and television.

Also busy in radio, including 275 broadcasts of the SHERLOCK HOLMES radio and television shows. Wrote his memoirs, 'In and Out of Character' in 1962. Died July 21st 1967 of a heart attack at his home in New York.

Born Angelo Salvatore Rossitto 1908 in Omaha, Nebraska. Height 2'11". Studied law in Omaha for 1 year. Sold newspapers at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and Wilcox and delivered newspapers to General Patton during WWII. Went back to selling papers as a second trade when entertainment work was slow. In 1939 he co-founded the 'Little People of America' organisation. In 1941 he made an unsuccessful bid for mayor of Los Angeles. In 1986 he retired to a rest home in Fairfax, Hollywood. Died September 21st 1991 from complications during surgery in Los Angeles, California.

Named as RKO's "Houri of Horror" by The Hollywood Reporter. This statuesque blonde enjoyed a lucrative career as a New York fashion model before becoming an actress. When she made a screen test for Paramount in 1936, she was promptly signed up for a long term contract. Her agent was the former German director Ewald A. Dupont. She returned to her modelling career when Paramount dropped her option for renewal, but her friend, actress Zasu Pitts persuaded her to remain in the industry. Russell then appeared in two of Zasu Pitts' comedies.
Her first horror film role is in Monogram's THE CORPSE VANISHES. For her most remembered role in Val Lewton's CURSE OF THE CAT PEOPLE, Russell describes herself as "a female Bela Lugosi in a constant zombie state".
