Born George Waggoner in New York City September 7th 1894. American actor, writer, songwriter, producer. began directing at age 43, and worked prolifically in television mainly on westerns from the early 1950's to the mid-60's. Waggner was also the director of numerous episodes of the BATMAN television series. Most of his earlier years were spent at Universal, where he made his best known film: THE WOLF MAN. Waggner left the studio in 1946 and freelanced, mostly within the western genre. He was initially trained as a chemist, but began his film career after military service in World War One. His acting roles were mainly within the western genre.

Cinematographer. Born in Schmiedefeld am Rennsteig 5th December 1891. Died in an automobile accident 18th August 1958.
Began his career in 1911 as a clerk for Pathe in Paris, later working as a newsreel cameraman until 1919 when he joined the Decla Bioscop company in Berlin. After World War II, Wagner worked at the DEFA Studios in Babelsburg.

Raised into a theatrical family. His mother was an accomplished stage actress and his aunt a local theatre producer. He began acting in the theatre at the age of twelve. However, he felt his career lay elsewhere and worked for producer William Fox. In 1924, Joseph M. Schenck placed West under contract, giving him full autonomy. Tired with the lack of support from United Artists, Roland West retired from film production, and entered into the restaurant business with actress Thelma Todd, and was implicated in her mysterious murder in December 1935.

Born in Dudley, Birmingham July 22nd 1889. Died Pacific Palisades, California May 29th 1957 of suicide by drowning. Cremated in Woodlawn Cemetary, Santa Monica, California.
Served in World War I as a second lieutenant. His original vocation was as a cartoonist for the London "Bystander". First acted in plays presented by fellow prisoners in a P.O.W. camp in Holzminden, Germany. Made professional stage bow in Birmingham 1919. Soon worked as stage manager, director, set and costume designer. Arrived in Hollywood in 1929, engaged as a dialogue director for his first two films. Won international praise and a contract with Universal after directing the World War One drama JOURNEY'S END.

Began his career as an actor, but also worked as a writer for German films at the age of 32. From 1924 to 1926, Robert worked in Austria, however, his career was brought to a halt when the Nazi's rose to power and in 1934 he relocated to France. It was here that he died during the production of ULTIMATUM, which was completed by his friend Robert Siodmak. Few of Wiene's films survive today.

Gained the reputation as the great screaming heroine of Thirties horror films.
